a bit about me and my business

I work: as a freelance web guy. I also work as an online producer for The Times Media Company, aka The Hammond Times (nwi.com).

I do: website design and maintenance, interactive design, and a number of other online services.

I don't: do a number of technical things. I'm not a programmer, an application developer, a database manager, or an illustrator. I can probably farm this out to associates if I'm doing other work for you, but you should probably look elsewhere if the majority of your project is development.

There are also some subject matters that I won't work around. Adult material is the most obvious, but there are others.

I live: in Cedar Lake, Indiana. It's about an hour south of Chicago.

I studied: at Purdue University - Calumet.

I use: numerous programs on both PC and Mac. I most frequently use the various programs in Adobe CS3 and CS4.

I charge: by the project. Generally I'll listen to what you need, figure out how long it will take, and give you an estimate. I come in under budget a lot, and I've never gone over my estimate. I base my quotes on a rate of $40/hour. If your project is smaller, such as periodic updates, I will go down to half-hour increments. No job is too small. (Plenty of jobs are too big; I'm only one person.)

I accept: checks and cash. I can take Paypal if you must use a credit card, but there will be a 3% upcharge to cover their fees. I don't mind working out barter agreements, as long as the terms are fair and the items bartered are useful.
